KRL Group has strengthened their service team with the appointment of new Service Manager, Mark Gregory. Mark has been with KRL Group for 11 years and brings a wealth of experience to the service team.
As Service Engineer Supervisor for 11 years, Mark worked out in the field dealing with the business customers across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Mark will continue to build on these foundations of exceptional customer service and technical know-how with his team of 10.

The European General Data Protection (GDPR) is set to commence May 2018. This means that the UK Data Protection Act will no longer exist and your business will have to comply to new regulations.
GDPR includes online personal data such as IP addresses, financial details, health information and pseudonymised data like social media accounts or other online personas.

George decided to go one step further than offering sponsorship to TV presenter Helen Fospero when she announced she was going to lead a trek in the Arctic in aid of Barnardo’s. George was at the Hull Daily Mail Business Awards last November when host Ms Fospero asked for support from the firms in attendance. He set himself the challenge of a lifetime by signing up for the Finland adventure himself.
“It was my birthday the day we set off,” said George. “It was certainly the first time I’d spent a birthday like that, and not something I’d usually do. “If I have got away on my birthday before, it will have been to a five-star hotel and not to a hut with bunks and a group of other people. “But we did celebrate it, and I did get a birthday cake.” The trip was organised by Discover Adventure and the itinerary included cross-country skiing, showshoe walking and husky sledding, all based around the unspoilt region of Kuusamo, in northeastern Finland.

Ms Fospero revealed that she was leading the 140-mile Finland trek in her role as an ambassador for Barnardo’s, and asked for business sponsors to help support the expedition. KRL already supports many sporting and community causes, so George was more than happy to lead his support and become the first member of Helen's team.
George has already started going to gym in preparation for the challenge. “I am excited about it, to be honest,” he said. “We leave on March 7, which is my birthday, it will hopefully raise lots of money for the children and we are a company that tries to put back.”

The Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC) plays hosts to some of Yorkshire’s leading businesses, one of which, KRL Group were at the convention to demonstrate pioneering technology that allows a user to print directly from a smart phone and tablet. The team also handed out World Cup banners printed from the Konica Minolta C224 on display, even handing one out to Elvis who was so impresses he was ‘all shook up’.
The YIBC also brings some of the biggest names from the worlds of business, politics and television with talks from former South African President and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, F.W. De Klerk being a particular inspiring highlight.
Representing KRL Group at the convention were Directors Glenn Parrish and Mark Gladstone and sales people David Tucker and Karel Newlove.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with over 400,000 in the UK being diagnosed every year and KRL Group were more than proud to sponsor a team representing Bradford City on there way to raise money for a great cause.
Taking part for Bradford City were Steve Hawthorn-Emmett (Head of Marketing), Billy Bingham (Synergy People Solutions), Luke Gallagher (programme editor) and Louis Horne (ex Player).
The team started the challenge on the 6th of June and arrived in Amsterdam on the 8th, raising a brilliant £5000 for the charity along the way.

Together with MD George Baker, sales directors Glenn Parrish and Mark Gladstone took guests on a tour of new office spaces, board room, service section, show room and large storage area.
Our special guest for the event was former Hull City striker Dean Windass. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than to have one of Hull’s biggest heroes usher in this new era for KRL. A hectic week in June saw MD George Baker in Singapore as guest of Konica Minolta, to receive a plaque as 13th in their league table of suppliers reaching 400% of their target week.
After quick flight back from Singapore we went down to Wembley to see Bradford City beat Northampton 3.0 and gain promotion to League One. As main sponsors of Bradford City for eight years it was wonderful to see their well deserved success.

As proud official sponsors of Bradford City Football Club KRL group were pleased to sponsor one of the match day mascots for the clubs game with Barnet on Saturday 15th September. Two year old Lily May Cooke led the team out. The Club took a 3 – 0 victory.
In 2009, KRL, a photocopier and office solutions specialist, underwent a management buyout. In tough economic times, this was a brave move but the company is now celebrating after the final payment from the £1.38 million sum has been paid to the previous directors – six months earlier than expected. The Willerby company, which employs 25 people, has Over the past two-and-a- half years, Mr Baker, who is in partnership with sales director Glenn Parish said the company has put nearly £200,000 back into the business – a dealer of Konica Minolta and Ricoh – to help its continuous development.
The company has recently added Kyocera to its list of manufacturers it works with and this has helped the company gain new contracts, Mr Baker said: “There are some unique opportunities in Hull at the moment. “We want to be closer to the motorway network and we will try to continue getting big contracts.” As well as the company’s plans to expand, it also wants to develop its training and employ more apprentices to add to the three it currently has.
Staff from KRL Group were delighted to be invited to this year’s MWS charity lunch which took place on Friday 4th May and was in aid of the Smile Foundation. Guests were treated to an insight into the life of cricket legend Geoffrey Boycott followed by a question and answer session with the man himself.

Barry who has spent a large part of his career managing the Administration departments across three of the regions Crown courts is fast becoming an invaluable member of the KRL team in his role as Operations Manager. The acquisition took place during some challenging economic conditions but Konica Minolta actively supported them throughout the process.
