Our History
Kingston Reprographics Limited founded
Based on Hedon Road in Kingston Upon Hull, KRL was founded in May 1985.
KRL becomes Minolta Main Dealer
We immediately formed a partnership with Minolta copiers, their equipment was the best on the market and they shared the same customer service goals as KRL.
KRL relocates to larger premises in Willerby
Steady growth, loyal returning customers and growing demand allowed us to relocate the business to a more suitable location in Willerby, East Yorkshire.
KRL acquires AP Business Machines
The late 90's / early 00's brought about a wave of consolidation in the industry, KRL was well placed to benefit from this and we started by acquiring AP Business machines in Brafford, West Yorkshire.
Acquires copier division of Meredith Group
Taking advantage of our status as a main dealer for Konica we further strengthened our position through the acquisition of the copier division of The Meredith Group in Hull.
Acquires Churchills
Further growth opportunities arose from our purchase of Churchills in Sheffield. KRL is now successfully servicing thousands of machines across the UK.
George Baker leads MBO
George, our MD decided to underline his commitment by leading an MBO. As the majority shareholder George refreshed the brand, adopting KRL as the official name and commenced a period of rapid growth.
Key partnership formed with Kyocera
With Kyocera on board, alongside Konica Minolta we began on our journey of offering non-biased, multi-vendor office solutions.
Key partnership formed with Samsung
The addition of Samsung's printers to our roster helped us serve a whole new market, including SOHO and VSE's.
KRL relocates to purpose built premises
A growing national client based required a purpose built head office and distribution centre.
Partnership with Lexmark
Lexmark devices provide us with an excellent range for home workers and small branch offices.
KRL win partnership agreement with Epson
Awarded with the prestigious status of Epson Solutions+ Gold Partners.
